The Graf Family: Lake Tahoe

This summer we were able to go on a family vacation to Lake Tahoe! My family had a really fun family reunion. We had a Blast. We liked playing at the beach but with snow on the mountains still, made swimming in the lake a bit more intimidating. A few adventurous people still ventured out into the freezing cold water. Tyler even grabbed a crawdad out of the water!

We had fun swimming in the very warm pool. Man we know how to PAR-TAY!

We had an adventure in the near by town of Virginia City. I was so excited to go there....you know because of Little Joe, Adam, Ben, and Hoss! I have always been a little obsessed with Bonanza. I really wanted to go to the Ponderosa but unfortunately a buyer purchased the land and made it private. :( So Virginia City was the next best thing. (They rode in from the Ponderosa to Virginia City quite often).

My grandfather booked a yacht for everyone so we could tour Lake Tahoe. It was so much fun. Everyone enjoyed it. The wind was blowing pretty hard on the lake though. We all got drink tickets for boarding the yacht....it is good for alcohol, alcohol, and soda. So, I asked what soda they had: coke or Sprite. No Pepsi.....whats wrong with these people. So I took a Sprite. Then my sister comes out with a Shirley Temple! Oh no she didn't. I had to go get me one. I think the bartender was in shock over how many Shirley Temples she made on the tour.

We took a horse drawn carriage from downtown Lake Tahoe to the Lake. It was really fun, but smelly.

My grandpa (82 years old) went hiking up the side of the mountain with my family. He kept up and even passed us up...Nate had to carry to girls at the same time-at one point. We took some fun pictures showing the different beautiful views.

We can't go to Lake Tahoe without doing some fishing. Nate found this smaller lake off the side of Tahoe. It was perfect. Tyler and the rest of us had fun fishing. A couple of cat fish were even caught....they are sure weird looking.
